Following sterile procedures cut EMOSIST in the right dimensions to fitting on the field. Hold the product at the edge and slide it gently completely within the laparoscope. Insert the laparoscope into the spindle using the standard laparoscopic procedures by placing the lens in the operative site, gently push the caliper in order to deposit the hemostat in an appropriate site. Place the product using the aid of pliers positioned in the second and third auxiliary access. - Properties

PropertiesEMOSIST an absorbable Haemostat made by oxidized regenerated cellulose with some antimicrobial properties due to the very low pH (pH 2.5) The anti-microbial characteristics was tested IN-VITRO on the following strains:
- Escherichia coli
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Staphylococcus aureus methicillin resistant
- Klebsiella pneumoniae
- Streptococcus pyogenes
- Enterococcus faecium vancomycin resistant ATCC
- Bacteroides fragilis
N.B. EMOSIST must not be used as an alternative to therapeutic or prophylactic antimicrobial agents.
